What does the converter actually do?

You paste the page link of a vehicle on gta5-mods.com. We download the mod, detect add-on or replace, rebuild it as a FiveM resource with fxmanifest.lua, the meta files in data/ and the model and textures in stream/, and give you a zip with a README. Typical time is about 30 seconds.

Which link do I paste?

The mod page link, for example gta5-mods.com/vehicles/2015-bmw-i8. Not the download button link, not a category page, not a user profile. The converter tells you if the link is the wrong kind.

What can I convert?

Vehicle mods from gta5-mods.com: cars, bikes, trucks, boats, planes. Other categories (paint jobs, weapons, maps) are not supported yet.

The conversion failed. Does it count?

Accepted Answer

No. Failed attempts never use a free conversion. The most common failure is gta5-mods.com not returning the page; the converter retries once automatically. If it keeps failing, open the link in your browser to confirm the mod is public, then try again in a minute.

Where is my download later?

Every finished conversion is kept in My Garage. Guests see their recent conversions on the device they used; with a free account they are kept under your login and can be re-downloaded from the dashboard after the original link expires.

How do I install the resource?

Copy the folder into your server's resources/ directory, add `ensure foldername` to server.cfg, restart. The README inside the zip repeats these steps and the complete workflow tutorial walks through spawning and troubleshooting.

You get 3 free conversions without an account, tracked per IP address, plus 2 more if you leave your email at the wall. Creating an account does not add free conversions.

No. The PRO badge on a tool means its full output is included in any paid plan (Unlimited, Complete Bundle or Server Pack). Every tool is free to open; the badge marks where the free version shows a preview. The pricing page has a table of exactly what Free and paid get for each tool.

Yes. There are no subscriptions and no renewals. You pay once through Stripe and keep access.

Which payment methods work?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the wallets Stripe offers in your country (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.

I bought before the tools existed. Do I get them?

Yes. Any account with unlimited access has the Pro tools unlocked, including purchases from before the tools launched. Log in and open any tool.

Do the tools upload my files?

No. The Inspector, Texture Optimizer and Car Pack Builder run entirely in your browser. Your zips and .ytd files never leave your computer. The only thing sent to our server is the gta5-mods.com link you convert.

What does the Resource Inspector check?

22 things: manifest lines (fx_version, game, files, data_file), assets outside stream/, files over the 16 MB limit, missing _hi models and texture dictionaries, spawn names that do not match files, handling and carvariations links, mod kit IDs in the vanilla range, spaces and uppercase in names. Is the Texture Optimizer lossy?

Not for textures with mip chains, which is nearly all of them. It removes the top mip levels so the 1024 px (or 2048 px) copy already inside the file becomes the new top level; no pixels are re-encoded. Textures with a single level are resampled only if you leave that option on. Tutorial.

How is this different from Glory Optimizer?

Glory Optimizer is a Windows desktop app that batch-processes whole folders with more control over formats. The browser optimizer needs no install, works on Mac and Linux, and is the fastest way to fix one oversized car. Bundle and Server Pack include both.

What does the Car Pack Builder produce?

One resource folder with a single fxmanifest.lua, per-car data/ and stream/ subfolders, identical shared textures kept once, scripts copied with the right scope, a README with spawn names, and the ensure line for server.cfg. It also reports duplicate spawn names, clashing handling entries and mod kit IDs used twice. Tutorial.

Are there limits on the free tools?

The Vehicles.meta Generator, Handling Editor, FXManifest and Server.cfg generators, spawn code database, server calculator and error analyzer are fully free with no limits.

The car spawns invisible.

Accepted Answer

Run the resource through the Resource Inspector. Nine times out of ten it is a model outside stream/, a texture over 16 MB, or a spawn name that does not match the file. The invisible car guide covers all seven causes.

The car is black, white or chrome.

Accepted Answer

The texture dictionary did not load, almost always because it is over 16 MB. Drop the zip into the Texture Optimizer and pick 1024 px. See the missing textures guide.

The display name shows NULL.

The in-game name comes from a GXT entry. Generate a vehicle_names.lua with the Vehicles.meta Generator and keep client_script in the manifest.

Two cars conflict after I added a pack.

Most likely a duplicate spawn name or mod kit ID. Rebuild the pack with the Car Pack Builder; it lists every conflict with the two resources involved.

Does the converter handle ELS or sirens?

Sirens defined in carcols.meta and carvariations.meta come through. ELS configs are a separate resource and must be installed on their own.

Do I need an account?

Not to convert. A free account keeps your conversions in My Garage across devices and is where team seats and purchases live. Buying a plan creates an account automatically.

How do team seats work?

The Server Pack includes 2 extra seats. In the dashboard you add teammate emails; anyone who logs in (or creates a free account) with one of those emails gets unlimited conversions and Pro tools on their own login. You can swap seats any time.

After checkout you set a password from the link on the success page. If you closed it, use Forgot password with the email you paid with and set one from the reset link.
